Excellent clarity, great for pro projects, minor library quirks.I used this for a custom CNC controller box, and the screen is fantastically bright—way better than the typical 20-30cd/m² modules. The full-viewing angle means the operator can see it from any position. The I2C interface saved me precious GPIO pins on my microcontroller. It was plug-and-play with common Arduino libraries, though I had to tweak the contrast setting significantly to get the best look with that high brightness. For the price, the build quality feels solid. One less star only because the documentation was a bit sparse, but if you're familiar with I2C displays, you'll be up and running in minutes. Incredible value for a high-brightness module.

Our next generation handheld medical devices require a compact but high-resolution display, and this 3.97-inch panel is perfect. The 480x800 resolution on the IPS panel provides excellent clarity, wide viewing angle, and precise color reproduction, which is crucial for our diagnostic UI. In fact, it is customizable in terms of installation and connector placement, which saves us a lot of design time. The MIPI interface keeps the circuit board layout clean. This is not a ready-made module; This is a customized component that feels very high-end. The ST7701S driver has detailed documentation, which is helpful for our firmware team. Focus on Value for High-Resolution Applications (From a Hobbyist on a Complex Project) I used it for customizing smart home controllers and was impressed by its cost-effectiveness. It is rare to find a true 480x800 IPS pixel and modern MIPI interface~4-inch panel at such a cost. Rich colors and flawless perspective. In terms of customization, it means I can get it without a touch screen (saving costs) because I use a separate overlay. Using the correct adapter board to drive Raspberry Pi CM4 through MIPI is very simple. ST7701S is a common driver and therefore has community support. If you need a clear, small display for advanced projects that can handle MIPI integration, please don't wait and see.
