ChengHao Display model T050IWV40E1K542 is a color active matrix thin film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) that uses amorphous silicon TFT as a switching device. This model is composed of a TFT LCD panel, a touch panel a driving IC, a back-light and FPC.

This TFT LCD has a 5.0 (Horizontal screen) inch diagonally measured active display area with 800*3(RGB)*480 resolution.

The driver used for this project can display 16M colors by R.G.B. signal input. The driver is mounted on the glass and the interconnection via FPC including components to drive the display module. Support 24-bit Parallel RGB Interface.

In addition, FPC can also be customized according to customer requirements, such as modifying back-light and FPC structure, interface definition, etc. RoHS Compliance & Halogen Free.

We have experienced several displays that are unable to handle vibration, dust, and assembly line operation around the clock. This high brightness LCD monitor has been running perfectly for 8 months. High brightness (110cd/m ²) is crucial for operators wearing safety goggles. This small screen is surprisingly bright! A rating of 120cd/m ² is not a child's play. I can finally read sensor data in the workshop without having to cover it with my hands. Upgrade significantly from my old dim OLED.

Focus on Value for High-Resolution Applications (From a Hobbyist on a Complex Project) I used it for customizing smart home controllers and was impressed by its cost-effectiveness. It is rare to find a true 480x800 IPS pixel and modern MIPI interface~4-inch panel at such a cost. Rich colors and flawless perspective. In terms of customization, it means I can get it without a touch screen (saving costs) because I use a separate overlay. Using the correct adapter board to drive Raspberry Pi CM4 through MIPI is very simple. ST7701S is a common driver and therefore has community support. If you need a clear, small display for advanced projects that can handle MIPI integration, please don't wait and see.
